WELL VISIT SCHEDULE
Thank you for the opportunity to be a partner in your child’s health. Please review our well-visit summary and call us in advance to schedule your child’s next appointment.
Well-visits serve several purposes and they are beneficial to both the patient-family as well as the Pediatrician.
- This is a great opportunity for you to address non-urgent matters with your pediatrician
- Prepare ahead of time by writing down questions and concerns.
- If your child is old enough, you can encourage him/ her to ask their own questions.
- We evaluate your child’s growth, development, social skills, and overall health during the well-visit
- The appointment helps us establish a relationship with your children since they are more relaxed when they are not feeling sick.
- If your child is sick or recovering from an illness for the well-visit, we may have to reschedule the evaluation and immunizations for a later time. A well-visit requires a well-child.
Following is a schedule of the recommended well-child visits, the tests we conduct, and when immunizations are administered, according to recommendations by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
For more information on immunizations, the Vaccine Education Center is a great resource.
